When you order from us, your book is sent to you instantly by an "auto-download" process. This is NOT "mail order," you do not receive anything via the US Postal Service, UPS or Fed Ex. After your order is processed you will be taken to an initial receipt page, which contains a link in the top right corner which says, "Click here to continue" (See Below - Link indicated by red circle)
Clicking this link will take you to a second receipt page. Your clickable download links are located at the bottom of this page. Do NOT close this page until you have downloaded ALL of your stories. (See below - Link indicated by pink circle and arrows)
When you click on the the links, the stories will download to your computer in a .zip file. On MOST computers this file will unzip automatically. Depending on the configuration of your system you may be asked whether you want to "open" or "save" the file - if you are asked this, pick "save." Some computers may ask you where you want to save the file - indicate a place where you can find it, such as your "documents" directory. Other computers will have a default location already picked.
We take Visa and Mastercard, as well as online checks. All processing of your information is handled by our Internet billing partner, Netbilling, on their secure servers. We do not sell, trade, or give away your personal information - EVER!
Books designated "IN PRINT" are sold through Lulu Press. When you order from Lulu, you are leaving our site and ordering directly from them. We believe them to be a very reliable company: however, we have no information about - and cannot help you with - any aspect of your order from Lulu.
Our eBooks come to you in .html format. While this is not as "fancy" as some other systems, it has a great deal of benefits for you - the customer. First, you need NO special software or features on your computer to read the books. If you have the software (your Internet browser) to visit the site and place an order, you have the software to read the stories. Our system works equally well on PCs or Macs. Once you buy a book from us, you own it just as if you bought it from the bookstore. We do not "encode" our eBooks with any DRM (Digital Rights Management) which might prevent you from printing the book or cutting and pasting it into your favorite word processor if you wish to adjust the font size, etc. You are permitted to print a copy of the book for your own use, and like a book you bought from the bookstore, you may share this printed version with a friend. However, it is illegal and a copyright violation to duplicate the electronic file OR send the electronic file to another person.
Please be aware that our authors work hard for their money - just as you do, and just as you need to paid for your work, so do they. Please respect our copyrights.
