Molly and Jeff Stanford are at the seven-year itch part of their marriage. Molly is a successful romance novelist and Jeff is well- known for his PR work.

Jeff takes a job at Golden Springs, Colorado, a resort town near Colorado Springs. He finds a gorgeous house for cheap, and then finds out that the house is cheap because it`s haunted. Molly is not too thrilled with the move away from New York. But the house in Colorado soon has an effect on her.

She starts adding spankings to her stories and her editor loves it, although Molly can?t figure out where the idea came from. She soon finds out she was influenced by the resident ghost, Betty Ann, who died with her husband during the Colorado Gold Rush.

And Betty Ann has more than spanking ideas to give to Molly. She is hiding the secret where thousands of dollars of gold is hidden. The problem is getting her to give up her secret.
